Since 1947

The tournament began in 1947, inspired by its founder Don Ernesto Zaragoza Iberri, who was just 16 when he first became involved in organizing fishing tournaments in Mexico. The event grew into one of North America’s best-known fishing traditions. Today, anglers gather in San Carlos to celebrate billfish, sportfishing, and the Sea of Cortez.

Join us at Marina San Carlos in Sonora, Mexico. In-person registration begins Friday, October 16 at 5:00 PM.

Fishing license

Get your license at Turismo Nautico, Marina San Carlos. Open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can also get the license on the day of registration.
